28.2.1 Ethical Conduct

Persons in charge of Procurement Departments and Staff in Charge (defined at 28.8) of Requesting Units, including the Budget Holders, must comply with the University’s Code of Conduct in the course of all procurement. Examples of illegal and unethical practices include engaging in price fixing arrangements; bid rigging acts; agreements with competitors to divide or allocate markets or customers; falsifying accounting records; intentional misrepresentation to the University’s auditors; bribery and kickbacks. Misconduct of this nature is subject to disciplinary action in accordance with Chapter 23, Misconduct & Whistleblower Protection and Chapter 38, Discipline.
